Announcing the Mumbai Premiere of our new film *Squeeze Lime in Your Eye* about the inimitable Kausik Mukhopadyay with whom I have been teaching for many years at KRVIA.

Kausik uses discarded household objects to create art works that exist at the intersection of machine, toy and organism. His works are quirky, fragile, idiosyncratic and poignant. ‘Squeeze Lime in Your Eye’ is a film on his practice as an artist and teacher. The film is also an exploration of the intersections of art, architecture, pedagogy and filmmaking.

*Squeeze Lime in Your Eye* is the opening film of Urban Lens Festival organised by Indian Institute for Human Settlements, at the Godrej India Culture Lab. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Avijit Mukul Kishore.

A film about the artist Kausik Mukhopadhyay.

Kausik uses discarded household objects to create art works that exist at the intersection of machine, toy and organism. His works are quirky, fragile, idiosyncratic and poignant. ‘Squeeze Lime in Your Eye’ is a film made by his close friends Avijit Mukul Kishore and Rohan Shivkumar on his practise as an artist and teacher.

The screening will be followed by a discussion between Avijit Mukul Kishore and Latika Gupta.

The film screens as part of the Urban Lens Festival organised by Indian Institute for Human Settlements, hosted by Max Muller Bhavan, Delhi.
