before i leave for out of town, this time for a week long trip, i think i must quickly record the four films that i have seen that have not made it to this blog. the shakti samanta trilogy frst- sharmila tagore in kashmir ki kali is all coy dimples but inan evening in paris’she manages once in a while to pull her own leg as the bad sister. and the clothes give rakhi sawant a run for her money. in ‘barsaat ki ek raat’ bachchan breathes fire to avenge the almost rape of his blind wife. ‘raajneeti’ tried so hard to be mahabharat meets godfather, pulling plot lines and scenes from both, but with nothing in particular really happening. people die, people scheme, people blackmail. katrina kaif struggles vailiantly against her accent, ranbir kapoor tries to be scheming and almost succeeds, ajay devgan scowls throughout, nana patekar and manoj vajpai are the only ones who seem to be able to get the grit necessary and arjun rampal – poor chap.
