From the window in the hotel, in the fancy part of town, the municipal stadium is an art deco classic that used to be the place for the football matches until the clubs moved out to the periphery. now it lies largely under utilised. while i watched fireworks and celebrations started and streams of teenager ran out to waiting buses and took them home.
