superman is virtuous, strong, brave, and honest. he belongs in a stratosphere few can aspire to. his stories are struggles against the darkness around never within. within him there is merely the helpless sadness of being in the company of a people who seem to be bent on destroying themselves by giving in to their dark sides. saving us from us, like jesus christ or any prophet.
i can never relate to a god, i am distrustful of them. superman is not my kind of hero. the new film is a perfect superman film- filled to the brim with this goodness and sadness (and that fantastic air crash scene)- the lois lane is a wash out but

superman is no ordinary superhero. others like batman, spiderman have alteregos who r superheroes. clark kent is superman's alter ego. so his super power is basically he's human....
not my thots.. dhaaped from sumwhere i cant remember...
i have heard that too.. like he wears a 'costume' to become clark kent.. not the other way around.
for me none of the others have soo much fairy tale quality..
they are all so scientifically explained and all.
and hes the prettiest actually.
so much about that lock of hair, bloo eyes and invincibility.
and that pretty sky blue and red costume is lovely.
all nice-nice.slightly ridiculous. i like lots.
but batman is much better.. he's so human.. i mean my weird neighbour cud be batman... the others r too unreal and connectin with them is tuff... sum1 i can relate to his anger...

I think the reason why superman aces batman or spiderman.. is also because of the predictably and reliance factor.. cos the others are based on chance and fate and all that jhang...
this argument of course is not too stable..
my superman.. shall always be my hero... although he doesnt rank as high on the dark and wild attraction scale.. but..

i too loved the aircrash scene.
movie was well made especially in its "classic" superman scenes from the earlier comics of the 50's and such.
never take a good looking blonde and convert her into a mediocre looking brunette,which is what i think happened with the lois lane actress.
i saw hellboy again on tv last week,and enjoyed it more than this ,i admit.
