some of the silliness of being an older man desperately in love with a younger person was spot on; and so were ben kingsley as the horny intellectual and penelope cruz as the object of his affections. the only things that kept me from completely loving the film was the undercurrent of morality concerning sexuality and family- american family values were to be the salvation from the evils of intellectualism and carnality. or maybe i was reading too much into the film.
