it is terrible to end a semester with a disappointing vibe. the fourth year submission today was way below par. and there was no nice way for us to say it. the models were non existent, the sheets incomplete. it must be autocads fault. perhaps. perhaps ours. the project framed was good i think, also some of the ideas that the kids had were also good. btu very rarely did they manage to put it all together. so much potential unrealized.
it’s a sweetheart of a class. bright and sassy. somewhere they seem just tired- or uninspired. our fault maybe, and maybe theirs. laziness? or just boredom?
i still insist it is not a bad class just somehow things are not falling in place this year. the same class last year at this time had done great work for vasai (and the
happy diwali everyone!

the 1st autocad wrk is always a shocker...and its just cause
a)u can go on and on on and on making the best sqaure......
b)dwgs lookkkkk sooo much better on the comp and u learn that over time
c)once u learn that....then contemplating about it...not sure of the print....changing things...thinking itll print better takes hours
d)its just all a mtter of gettting used to knowing how ur screen will look on paper
its also a maturity problem, no? no one knows their place in the future of architecture... and how this 4th year will frame that.plus its weird.... every year we've been told "this is not X year work... as an X year student you are expected+capable of better"... i've heard that in 2nd,3rd, 4th year.... so whats missing??? did we skip some exercise somewhere in the middle?? maybe an exercise in seriousness??? ....
+ more often then not we are told...ull dnt know how to make dwgs on cad...
...my class really did miss the excercise on cad...but this is the same every year....wheres the hitch?
all of this sounds scary!!!!!
