saturday day inventory

yesterday was a perpetual urge to get to a place on time; and being constantly late to get there. first it was when i got to college late, but that was not too much of a problem, really, because i did not have class. i was only late for sitting on the first floor parapet and watching tapan imitate various students and faculty. the boy has talent.

three cars left for girgaon at 11.20 for 12 o’clock meeting at the sparc office, in which were paul, namrata, ninad and me along with pooja, thomas, tarun, nimita, awni and siddarth. we were over an hour late and shirish patels presentation and sparcs movie already been shown. the presentation went off well enough with talk about future collaborative possibilities- this time in bhubaneshwar and also with some swiss artists visiting the city.

poor bahaar and mukul kept waiting for the meeting to get over- we were supposed to meet. finally they gave up waiting and decided to meet later in the day. mukul went to kuntal and nanditas place while bahaar went home. after the meeting finally got done at 5 or so mukul and me finally met up at kbs house and then met bahaar at her colaba house. they have bought the next door flat too and it is an exact mirror of the old one. while the old one is bright white and grey, the new house is a black dark cave. kaif, bahaar and me sat talking for a while on srk, movies, architecture, etc; until muki and me had to leave for dinner at kuntals mothers place.

i love that flat. it is one of the best flats i have seen in a high rise. the windy stilt area and the curved canopy with the garden; and the split level house with huge windows overlooking priyadarshini park and the sea. meha was going crazy over picture books. she is a crazy lovely kid. i am going to be ‘chachu’ while mukul is ‘mamu’. the food at that house is always vegetarian and divine. soup and lasagna.
