strangers

poor jimmy shergill. he is always so much better than the films he is in. and in the fairly reasonable ones he shines in bit parts. in this latest hitchockian take off, he plays a failed writer in a failed marriage to the beautiful nandana sen. while traveling on a train he meets kay kay menon who makes a mutual pact of murder with him. it was all right till that point until the interval happened and then it was all downhill from there on. in a thriller, if the plot ends so incredibly predictably and suddenly it seems like you have just wasted some nice sunday morning afternoon hours watching crap. but jimmy is very very good. i hope we get to see him in something better soon.
