Clay figurines in staged sets are used to relentlessly recreate the atrocities of life in the resettled village communes under the Khmer Rouge, and life before and after the emptying of Phnom Penh. These images become alibis for all the images erased from the visual history of Cambodia. A riposte to propaganda.
