yi lan - huang sheng yuan - the museum

a gentle pathway in brick runs through a village to a museum in a garden. the museum is nestled into a hill made out of the excavated earth. terraces for learning reach out form a bar museum and cafe. a temple site across the courtyard that was to be accessed from here but eventually turned its back. the lush green forest has workers having lunch and the kids gather around the platform off the street that is opposite the workshop of the undertaker. the platform was made for the mourners to rest while they wait. a hovering roof makes a half sunk parking lot below which is used often by the local community as a cook-out space.
