the final descent into completely incomprehensible storytelling- where there are so many characters doing so many pointless things for no apparent reason; and the plot plods on and on through portentous dialogue and self consciously camp swagger. i cant for the life of me remember what the basic story of the film was except that it had something to do with a pirates meeting somewhere and complicated codes of obscure origin that pirates it would seem need to subscribe to. what was even more confusing was the action-less first half and the long boring second half. a waste of time, but i had to see it with amit because we had seen the first two installments together. and hello! what’s with the disney empire being all moral about the evils of the bad mega-corporation? makes no sense.
