the promenade of the city. the pedestrian area increased and the traffic tucked underneath. spectacles promote partiotism, capitalism and sustainability with no compunction about the inherent contradictions. buildings glitter and glow. at 8 they shimmer in the distance as hordes of tourists watch. and within the buildings tucked away are high end restaurants and hotels, art galleries and clubs. at three in the bund also find the 'most romanitc place in the world' the cupola rooms.
