my first time inside the guggenheim. the circles cover the pavement and the strange sci-fi from the past seems still quaint. but no amount of nostalgia for the 50's futurism can cover the basic fact that is bloody incredible. the geometries that life up the central skylight, the layers and layers of different spaces that rise alongside the ramp, the shifting scales that range from the intimate enclosure within the atrium where you sit to the sudden three dimensional shafts in the shops or in some of the galleries.
