NY - Downtown - Wall Street and the Memorials

som’s one liberty plaza is beautiful. miesian black steel and a red sculpture in front of it. wall street had more tourists than stockbrokers. the elevated acre was barren but it was only morning and cold as hell. the wild landscape was growing between slats. then the memorials- the vietnam war with the glass block and the water body, the irish hunger memorial- heavy cantilever and wild grasses and an organic urban farm. then the wtc memorial and the new tower that is still rising near it and the cesar pelli complex to the west.
