padavli - the fort, the temple and the village

the village of padavli is very close to the bateshwar temple complex. directly opposite the village is the main temple of the village garhi padavli. the temple lies high on the plinth inside a fort hihc looks like it had been built much later. the temple has stories being told over every surface. from the top of the fort wall you could look over the mines that surround the village. the village itself is beautiful with built in stone or brick and painted a perfect blue.
