In bourgeois Calcutta mansions Ela is caught in mirrors, in windows, in faded bedrooms, in hesitating gestures and shots that repeat and revolve, between her fascination for the fire in the revolutionary’s voice and her fatal love that draws unwilling Atin into the fight.
